Tracking the pitfalls of normalizing publication data pulled from multiple sources.
Merging bibliography exports from ACM, IEEE, and custom lab databases seldom goes smoothly. I now normalize author names with ORCID lookups and lint entries with a mini schema checker before publishing. It cuts down on broken links and makes yearly reports almost automatic.
